Unlike painters who completely imitate Renaissance, Baroque or Impressionist artists, Lee merely borrows works of the great artists and makes small yet dramatic alterations to their compositions, using computer and media technology. Old Masterpieces touch the hearts of viewers as they are, but Lees imaginative digitalized interpretation makes these paintings more familiar to modern viewers. Old paintings, which are usually displayed in museums, are shown in a digital form with music and moving pictures in the background, creating a new sensation among viewers. Lee remarked that he started this new form of art because the field presented him with new challenges that could not be found in static sculpture. Long-preserved masterpieces, which are thousands of years old, come to life today through Lees art. Many have wished to get a chance to live these old paintings. Leenam Lee made this wish a reality, which is why he is now attracting huge attention from the art community.
